Father knows best! As a child how much better did things workout - TopicsExpress

Father knows best! As a child how much better did things workout when you trusted in your parents without question? Most of us would agree much better well for the Christian who is Gods child; how much better would things workout for us if we listen to our Father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name? (Galatians 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.) I tell my children they must do as I instruct them to first and ask questions later. I reassure them that I will not send them off onto a path of failure but they must believe that I have their back and do what I ask, immediately. Sometimes I give them slack, other times its encouragement and well, some days I am just tired of telling them the same thing more than 1x so I let them fail. This always results in them returning to me asking for help and admitting I was right. The funny thing is this sounds like a verse or 2 from the bible. (Proverbs 3:5-6 21st Century King James Version (KJ21) 5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding; 6 in all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.) Children observe us all day long and they trust us because they see we take care of them. I remind myself all day long to observe GOD taking care of me so that I may build even more of a desire to trust in learning how to acknowledge him and thus allowing him to direct my path. First God tells me... (2 Timothy 2:15 21st Century King James Version (KJ21) 15 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman who needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.) So I know I will be tested one day much like being told by your parents to do something and the more you do as you are told the more responsibility you are given. God also warns me that even though I may be his child and I am saved by faith. (Hosea 4:6 21st Century King James Version (KJ21) 6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to Me. Seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.) To conclude I leave you with this. (Romans 8:31 21st Century King James Version (KJ21) 31 What then shall we say of these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?) This post was way longer than I had anticipated and had time for but the fruit of praising the God of the universe is more delicious than any cup of starbucks. My choice is my voice. #trusinthelord I almost did an audio commentary, would that have been useful for anyone? Be well John Spartan
