Father, thank You for everything. Let Your will be done. In the Garden of Gethsemane is where the Lords Prayer actually happened. I can only imagine the drama being played out. Jesus pleads three Times, Remove this cup from me, the plea of the seventh petition: Deliver us from evil. Under every request of His own, He places an attitude of faithful obedience to His Father, saying, Yet not what I will, but what thou wilt. Here is the third petition, which prepares us properly for any answer God may give all other petitions: Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Praying the Lords Prayer takes more than words, the heart needs to experience it too. Lord Jesus, I have sought to do the work of prayer. But today I remember that You have gone before me, that You have experienced each pain that I go through. Thank You again for the gift of prayer and for teaching me to pray. Let Your will be done in my life, Lord. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
