Father, when I am feeling weak and vulnerable, I like to read the psalms that depict you as a shepard and me as the sheep. Thank you for the soothing image of rest in cool, green fields and beside life-giving waters. It is a reassuring thought that a shepard, no matter how large his flock, will relentlessly search for a sheep until it is found. As my shepard, you consider me just as important as every other sheep in your fold. I find comfort in knowing that you will watch over all my needs and come looking for me when I am lost. Amen :-)
