Fatherlessness and Lawlessness: Had a great conversation - TopicsExpress

Fatherlessness and Lawlessness: Had a great conversation yesterday with two young men who God is working powerfully through. These two (along with others that I know) are helping to pioneer this next move of God and doing it with a zeal I haven’t seen in awhile. Part of that youthful heart to pioneer; is reaching out to bridge the generations. Looking for solutions to a fatherless generation. YES! What a joy to connect with these passionate ones; they are “lit up” with God’s purposes. They exuded hope for the future. During our conversation (with numerous subjects) the topic of lawlessness came up. I have continued to ponder that one topic from yesterday. So saddened by the condition of too many of our youth. Too many children raising themselves. We don’t have to look very hard today to see lawlessness abounds. One of the ways the enemy draws youth into lawlessness is through fatherlessness. Destroying the family unit has brought all types of grief and destruction to society. Our young people must have fathers and mothers in the days ahead. I will pray for a healing grace to come for the orphans and the fatherless. A sensitivity to the spirit of adoption and working in the spirit of Elijah. A generation coming into seeing; experiencing and knowing God as Father. Also genuine fathers and mothers partnering with those who have been looking for mentoring-care- LOVE! When this partnering is formed and established we will see lawlessness and it’s influence begin to lose such a hold on a generation. Fatherlessness and lawlessness are connected. A few statistics taken from KidsNeedDadscom -63 % of youth who commit suicide are from fatherless homes -90% of homeless and runaway children cone from fatherless homes -85% of all children who exhibit behavioral disorders live in fatherless homes -71% of all high school dropouts are from fatherless homes -70 % of juveniles in state operated institutions cone front fatherless homes 85% of all youth in prison grew up in fatherless homes Reaching for the antidote. What is the cure for lawlessness? LOVE. The kind of love that covers a multitude of sins 1 Peter 4:7-11 But the end and culmination of all things has now come near; keep sound minded and self-restrained and alert therefore for [the practice of] prayer. 8 Above all things have intense and unfailing love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins [forgives and disregards the offenses of others]. 9 Practice hospitality to one another (those of the household of faith). [Be hospitable, be a lover of strangers, with brotherly affection for the unknown guests, the foreigners, the poor, and all others who come your way who are of Christ’s body.] And [in each instance] do it ungrudgingly (cordially and graciously, without complaining but as representing Him). 10 As each of you has received a gift (a particular spiritual talent, a gracious divine endowment), employ it for one another as [befits] good trustees of God’s many-sided grace [faithful stewards of the extremely diverse powers and gifts granted to Christians by unmerited favor]. 11 Whoever speaks, [let him do it as one who utters] oracles of God; whoever renders service, [let him do it] as with the strength which God furnishes abundantly, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ (the Messiah). To Him be the glory and dominion forever and ever (through endless ages). Amen (so be it). So I Pray fervently for this type of love to be exhibited and to see the embracing across generational lines. Waiting to see the power of love connected to faith dismantle the power of lawlessness. God I pray to be delivered from the wounds of the last season. To break into a new depth of love. To be able to embrace in the love of Christ the one you place before me. To be your example of a loving nurturing parent both in the natural and in the spiritual realm. .
