Fathers Day. Thinking of my Dad.. He WAS not perfect! Yet he - TopicsExpress

Fathers Day. Thinking of my Dad.. He WAS not perfect! Yet he taught me such a valuable lesson. This life does not depend on religion, but on relationship. Relationship with God and each other. My dad went to be with His Father, a number of years ago.. complications with cancer.. caused his heart failure. Having a relationship with a perfect God is what is needed, as we realized that as human we will never be perfect. We are forgiven.. and as we surrender to Him and allow our relationship with Him to grow.. Our imperfection is hidden in Christ, and we are made more like Him as we draw closer to Him! When we try to be perfect in ourselves, or judge others for NOT being perfect... we are taking away from Christ; the sacrifice He made for us. Our rightness is as "filthy rags" before God... Where as the blood of Christ "covers all sin, or imperfection"... allowing us to "hide" in Him, and have the relationship that He desires and longs for with us. Thanks Dad.
