Fatigue, soreness, or perhaps the feeling of exhaustion may sometimes be a side effect of training. They should, however, *never* be the goal. The athletic bodies people aspire to emulate, are usually the built on the pursuit of performance, not pain. If you step into a gym with only the goal of getting your ass kicked, youre headed down a dark path of disappointment. If your only goal as a coach/trainer/whatever is to kick peoples asses - youre doing it wrong.
