Favor In 14 ... HE THAT LOVETH SILVER! - He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity. (Ecclesiastes 5:10) Its all about the double portion! Its all about priorities. Its all about the heart of our affection. Its all about loving anything more than God. Its all about vanity. That word vanity means excessive pride ... in anything. Another word for it is conceit. Humans are not exempt from narcissism or arrogance. When the blessings come, and they surely will; we must keep them in their proper place; we must not love silver or abundance or anything that draws our affections away from our Lord and Savior. You say, Whats the big deal? I would pay my tithes if I was greatly blessed. Yes, but thats not the end of it ... its a matter of the heart, a matter of sudden absence of pushing and climbing to get there, because now, youre on the mountain! Now, you have most of what you want; now, the strain on your face is gone and the things that kept us on our knees have been lifted. THE most dangerous times of our lives are when we have abundance, when we are increased and have need of nothing, when times are good and highly blessed ... DANGER, WARNING!!! Vanity can come even without riches. Its inordinate affection; its thinking about me, me, me; its losing sight of the Vision. You say, Why are you talking about this? Well, its good and its bad. YOU are about to be HIGHLY blessed, and it could be the worst thing that ever happened to you! If ... If we keep perspective; if we remember who gave the increase; if we dont lose our prayer of the poor days; if we dont fall in love ... with the abundance, we will survive that abundance.
