Favorite Kids Shows: 1. Big Bad Beetleborgs. (Such an underrated show and so awesome. Flabber was ALWAYS my favorite character and I recall really wanting to have a toy of him. Im glad theres a dvd out, I hope theyll make more.) 2. Power Rangers. (I grew up during the Mighty Morphin/Zeo/Turbo eras of the show. And I recall owning a lot of the action figures. I actually got to see the Power Rangers here in New Zealand when I went to see Beauty and the Beast at the theatre. I cant remember which season it was though.) 3. Masked Rider. (A lot of people seem to hate this show, especially fans of the original Kamen Rider series its supposedly based on, but I love it! The action is terrific and not to mention Furbus is super adorable and hillarious! I remember watching the show fondly and owning a Furbus figure as well as a transforming Masked Rider figure and a Super Gold Masked Rider and combat chopper combo set. I also have the comic and the sticker album.) 4. Biker Mice From Mars. (The original Biker Mice From Mars cartoon is epic and always will be! With its homages to various media mainly heavy metal musicians and action/sci fi, this show is one I had always enjoyed watching. My favorite mouse is Vinnie and my favorite antagonist is Lawrence Limburger. The plutarkians made for some truly interesting villains.) 5. Goosebumps. (Me and my old school friend were both obssessed with this show and the books, to the point that we were almost at competition with eachother to see who could collect the most books in the series. My favorite episodes would have to be Haunted Mask, Night of The Living Dummy II and III, and One Day At Horrorland. I used to have a drawing of Slappy upon the wall of my study once.) 6. Are You Afraid of The Dark. (Aah heck yeah! This...show...was AWESOME! I loved every single thing about it. My favorite episodes are Ghastly Grinner, Laughing In The Dark, Vampire Town, Gruesome Gormets, Full Moon, and Renegade Virus among others. It was very creepy but very clever as well.) 7. Lazy-Town. (This may be only for the really little kids but gosh damn it - its awesome as hell! This Icelandic import has it all, songs, dancing, wonderful characters, and lots of good clean humor! Not to mention the villain Robbie Rotten is HILLARIOUS! Hes like Jim Carrey as the Grinch only without the green fur. I have the soundtrack CD and stil listen to it from time to time.) 8. Wizards of Waverly Place. (This is one of the few current Disney Channel shows that I actually enjoy. And thats because of the supernatural elements. You have not only main characters who have magic powers, but you have other mythical creatures like centaurs, werewolves, vampires, mummies, zombies, elves and so on. ) 9. H20: Just Add Water. (Speaking of mythical creatures, this series was all about that - specifically mermaids. I loved this show, it was very interesting and also very engaging. I like how their mermaid powers change throughout the seasons depending on the situation.) 10. Dave the Barbarian. (Hillarious show with wonderful characters, my favorite is Twinkle the Marvel House. Hes a pony that likes to talk about his rather disturbing dreams. And as an added bonus: Hes a Christopher Walken parody in terms of voice and mannerisms.) 11. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. (My friend DPMoonwalker33 got me interested in this show and I have to admit: Its trucking amazing!) 12. Big Wolf On Campus. (I trucking love this show! Supernatural elements, engaging characters and stories, and great use of humour and horror homages/references. It was because of this show that I wanted to be a werewolf at one point.) 13. Sabrina: The Teenage Witch. (Supernatural elements always make for great comedy.) 14. The Mask: The Animated Series. (The first introduction I got to the Mask, before I knew it was based off a movie based of a comic.) 15. SuperTed. (Im sure youll agree that this show was amazing and very clever as well.) 16. Count Duckula. (A vampire whos a duck and unlike a certain vampire from a movie series that claims to be vampire related...he doesnt suck OR sparkle! I call it what would happen if you crossed Blackadder with the Addams Family.) 17. Drake and Josh. (Dan Schneider is a genius. Great chemistry between the two leads, not to mention Josh Peck is adorable.) 18. Julia Jekyll and Harriet Hyde. (A british kids series on BBC. A comedic take on the old Jekyll and Hyde story - only with a young girl who turns into a furry monster at the most inopportune moments.) 19. Chowder. (I already mentioned this on my favorite cartoons list, but I really do love this show - its cute, quirky and funny and I love the names they have for all the different foods.) 20. Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack. (Okay this one is a little bit weird, but then again thats why I love it.) 21. Sesame Street. (Do I really need to explain why I like this show so much?) 22. Bumble. (This is a New Zealand kids show about a magical kind-hearted bee who lives in Kiwi Fruit Valley with his friends. I love this show because its kind of the opposite of what shows like Barney are. I heavily recommend checking this show out). 23. Weird Science. (Based off the John Hughes movie of the same name. This show was clever and funny and had some really brilliant moments.) 24. Roger and the Rottentrolls. (This British show proves that magical or supernatural elements make for great comedy. Its about a human boy named Roger whose friends are a group of trolls - no not internet trolls, the mythical kind.) 25. Slow Norris. (Another British gem. This is one about a big, jolly bear/sloth-like monster named the Slow Norris who learns about life from his human friend Allie.) 27. Neds Newt. (A shapeshifting newt that gets his owner into various hillarious situations makes for some really funny episodes). 28. Spongebob Squarepants. (Like I mentioned in my favorite cartoons, i do have to agree that the series has gone a bit downhill throughout recent seasons but im not bothered by it all that much. Its still a hillarious show!) 29. Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. (Like ive already mentioned. Supernatural elements make for great comedic posibilites and this show proves it, with its dark comedy and excellent homages/references to various horror and non-horror-related media, this would be a horror-fans dream.) 29. Sooty and Co. (Simply magical. I always used to imitate Sweep.)
