Favorite day of the year! Football (Dallas loss) and Celebrity Critiques (Golden Globes) and a trip to NC in btwn events (and yes I booked my flights accordingly ;). Lets get on with it, my take on the GGs: 1) Tina and Amy once again nailed the opening, my favorite line was the Emma Stone Big Eyes shout out ;) 2) Kicking off the awards by welcoming Jen Aniston to show off her lady parts by walking those stairs will help the ratings 3) Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress-- screw that how about Best Support period and that goes to whatever is holding JLos breasts in place 4) Did Billy Bob Thorton discover the fountain of youth? looks younger, not creepy, dare I say handsome? Thats some really good work and honorable mention goes to Ethan Hawke for the same. 5) Conversely to #4- William H Macy is speeding up the aging process 6) Awww- Lena Dunham looked good tonite and when they zoomed in on her for her nomination there was a tray of desserts right next to her 7) Who was Maggie Gyllenhaals date? She only mentioned him 3 times during her speech 8) Most random presenter- Prince. Who noticed they lowered the mic for him- lol 9) Heard backstage in the control room- were about to give Common and John Legend the award for Best Song from Selma- how many cameras can we get on Oprah? 10) Thank you Matt Bomer for a great performance about an important cause and also for being the handsome man we all hoped Elijah Wood would turn out to be 11) Tina and Amy went there with the Bill Cosby jokes but cmon Ricky Gervais dropped a backhanded Katie Holmes zinger!! 12) Best Human Animated Character- Kate Hudson as Fievel. And for the 19th straight awards show I ask why wont she just go away? If shes looking for directions to obscurity please ask Catherine Zeta-Jones 13) Oh Jared Leto- your tux is wrong, your boutineer is wrong, your hair (french braid) is wrong, your beard is wrong-- and somehow it all worked, call me!! 14) The producers of the show should be shot for getting Lilly Tomlin and Jane Fonda together WITHOUT Dolly Parton 15) The Taylor Swift award for sticking to one look for a 5 year block of awards shows- Jessica Chastain 16) Lupita Nyongo you can lose the glasses when you present, you won the Oscar- people take you seriously 17) Gwyneth you looked good in pink once- stop wearing it, in fact see if you can hitch a ride with Kate Hudson on that ride to Go AWAY 18) No airconditoning? Bad lighting? Someones head is going to roll with the amount of shine on these celebs faces (wheres the powder back stage) 19) Best Men- George Clooney, Adam Levine, Justin Theroux Worst Men- Adrian Brody (velvet shirt), Harrison Ford (crabby), Wes Anderson (Gingham shirt w/ tux) 20) Best Women- Julianne Moore, Lupita Nyongo and Selma Hayak Worst Women- Kristen Wiig, Kerry Washington and Melissa McCarthy Good Night All
