Fayose annuls Promotion of 5,000 Ekiti civil servants. In a move - TopicsExpress

Fayose annuls Promotion of 5,000 Ekiti civil servants. In a move that could be described as a scene from a movie, Governor Fayose this evening annuled all promotions done in the Civil service in the last one year as he directed that all beneficiaries of such promotions to submit their letters latest Friday, November 14, 2014 (tomorrow). All the benefits attached with their promotion are to be returned. The reason for this inhuman and unprecedented decision according to Mr. Fayose is that there is no money to sustain such promotion. The directive affects all Civil servants in Ekiti State across Ministries, Departments and Agencies. These are Civil Servants who were statutorily due for promotion and were promoted after their success in written and oral promotion examinations. Their promotion was approved by the Ministry of Establishment, Civil service commission and other relevant Boards. The question is, why is Mr. Fayose punishing Ekiti Civil Servants? Is it true that he has come to revenge their hostility to him towards the end of his impeached tenure as he was said to have boasted to a friend that he will deal with them? Only last week, he slashed all their allowances and entitlement by half and cancel all approvals no matter how small including those of Permanent Secretaries who could no longer approve N10,000(ten thousand naira). Fayose is the sole approving authority now even if it is N100 naira! Remember, last week, we once told you how Fayose ordered PS GAD and PS Protocol to look for an alternative route to Governors office for Evil Servants whom he said he doesnt want to be meeting on his way in and out of the Governors office. His latest move has now confirmed that he actually hates civil servants and he is out to deal with them and teach them the lesson of their lives! Eyin civil servants, e ku afojuba ore Mekunu oo! e ku afojuba ore Civil servant
