Fayose’s hammer falls on Ekiti LGs, LCDAs Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has dissolved all the caretaker committees of the 16 local government areas and the 19 newly inaugurated Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in the state. The governor, who made the announcement through a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, said all the caretaker chairmen of the councils should immediately hand over to the Director of Administration of their respective councils. Caretaker chairmen have been in control of the 16 constitutionally recognised councils since the immediate past governor Kayode Fayemi came on board on October 16, 2010. Caretaker committees were also appointed for the 19 LCDAs which were inaugurated shortly after the June 16 governorship election.
