Fear is at the root reason for holding and shallowing the breathing. What ever the fear, BREATHE into it as often and in every way or form fear presents its self, BREATHE into it, when you choose to not be afraid. When we carry too much though in mind, breathing is labored, not healthy. Mindful-Breathing cultivates space to choose our thoughts and when to think, if its necessary to think. It is not balanced to have the mind busy all the time and many do this intentionally and often lose control of their bodys ability to relax with their mind. Thoughts come and go to and from the past and or the future. In the now where Breath alway Is, you have choice as to what thought you digest. We often eat and over eat to stop the thoughts and this as well moves the body out of balance into dis-ease. Taking time to sit and allow our thoughts without holding onto or discerning them, just breathe into them as they come and go, this helps clear the mind. The more time we take time to clear our mind our body uses the opportunity to heal it self from the inside out. This makes meditation golden and the stillness we gain from meditation we are able to carry this stillness with us where we are with or without thought. The stillness knows Breath, it is where we rest move and heal from.
