Fear is going to be a player in your life but you get to decide how much. So many of us choose our path out of fear disguised as practicality, what we really want seems impossibly out of reach and ridiculous to expect so we never dream to ask the universe for it. The effect you have on others is the most valuable currency there is, everything you gain in life will rot and fall apart and all that will be left of you is what was in your heart. I am so full of emotion over this video because this is how I live my life. I let acceptance of my fear drive me towards my dreams. I decide to do the things that people say are crazy, that they dont understand (and thats okay! I dont know whats in other peoples hearts and they dont know what is in mine) because if I dont nothing good will ever happen to me. I am careful how I interact with people because I know that even when I want to be angry it wont change anything except my own feeling and in the end of the day I can control nothing. nothing at all. I reach out when I can to others and back away when I know its not healthy for me and I do it un-appologetically because I would ask nothing less of others. When I know something is creating anxiety and chaos in my heart I do what I know heals me: I meditate. I sing. I call my friends and family. I RIDE MY BIKE. I love that this came to me today when I was having a difficult morning. Something I struggle with (like today) is letting go of the turmoil inside. When the emotions rise up and I just cant let them go and all I can do is breathe. Just breathe and remind myself that I am doing the best I can, I am not pretending to be anything I am not and I am loving as hard as I know how to and this is all I can do! I read this at my UCSD talk and its my personal mantra: You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. © Max Ehrmann 1927
