Fear of Life............ The fear of death is basically the fear of life!!!! Once a desperate man thought of committing suicide. He came to a lake and jumped. A passer-by happened to see him jumping and thought he was enjoying a swim, but then he started shouting, “Save me! Save me!” The passerby was a little puzzled, but there was no time to think it over, so he jumped in and carried him out. The man said, “What have you done? I was trying to commit suicide.” The passer-by said, “This is strange. Then why did you shout for help?” He said, “Because of fear.” Every moment in life we are afraid of something or the other. A brave man is one who has fear, but conquers his fear. Once you are a slave of fear you can be exploited. So very often whenever we are in fear, we start remembering God. The fear of death is basically the fear of life. Whom to fear: Do not be afraid of those who kill the body, but cannot kill the soul; rather be afraid of God, who can destroy both body and soul in hell. For only a penny you can buy two sparrows, yet not one sparrow falls to the ground without your Father’s consent. As for you, even the hairs of your head have all been counted. So do not be afraid; you are worth much more than many sparrows. ( Mathew 10:28).
