Fearfully and wonderfully made - thats what we talked about at Rodem tonight. We had another great meeting, having yummy BBQ (due to kitchen being unavailable...) and meeting some lovely new people :) So. Thank you to Angel who came and shared with us her story with God. She shared how God had placed value in her by creating her special. Angel, she is one of 4 sisters in her family, and always had been feeling she was not good enough and felt worthless at times. When she moved to NZ at the age of 8, she could not speak English, which made her feel really helpless. And her sisters being better at studies didnt help either. When she became 14, things started to change. She went to this Christian concert, and found out a bit about God. Then she thought, I think I want to get to know God a bit more. So she did. This God who was so perfect, who loved her so much decided to trade her not good enough with perfect Jesus, and let her have perfection in Him. She then came across this verse in the Bible where God told her she was fearfully and wonderfully made. God created her unique, and created her with respect. Because we are created by this Great God, we have value. Not because of what we do. Her identity is based on what God tells her. She listens to God, because He is the one who made her, and made her unique. He didnt do mass-production. He created each one special and unique. Including you and me. Do you believe that you were fearfully and wonderfully made? If it is true, would it change the way you see yourself? God placed value in you. So dont change it because others tell you you are not good enough. You are good enough because someone very great has made you :) In 2 weeks, we will have Social Night at 31 St Pauls Place, Burwood.
