Featured orphans: Village Altonodji, Moundou, Chad (Africa) This village is home to 160 orphans and was the vision of Pastor Ngardeye Bako, himself an orphan, born in Chad and educated in the US on a Billy Graham scholarship. The village is named for Pastor Bakos first-born daughter who died of malaria and the name means the orphan needs your love in his tribal language. The village also has a school for the orphans and other children in the community (almost 400 students) and a church along with a bakery, a dress shop and garden which serve as micro-businesses to help support the village. Funds raised from previous rides have paid for a recently installed solar power system for the campus providing reliable power for the first time. This years proceeds will go toward getting internet access for the orphans and other students in the school. Find out more about the Village Altonodji on the Mission:Chad website: mission-chad.org/
