Feb 01, 2014 Matthew 15 finished. *The Faith of the Canaanite Woman....... After Jesus had left from the place where He explained clean and unclean, He withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon. A Canaanite woman came to Him crying out, Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is suffering from demon-possession. (When I looked up what was considered demon possession it said tremors, which to me could possibly be seizures.) Jesus didnt answer her cry. The disciples asked Him if He wanted them to send her away, His response: I was sent only to help the lost sheep of Israel. The woman upon hearing this came and knelt before Jesus, Lord help me!, she said. It is not right to take the childrens bread and toss it to their dogs., He replied. Yes Lord, she said, but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters table. This was a test of Faith. Jesus was simply saying that He was the answer but why should He help/give. Her response of the crumbs under the table was shed take whatever amount of compassion He was willing to give, which showed great Faith. She knew He could heal her daughter, but she was willing to take whatever. With her response Jesus said, Woman, you have great Faith. Your request is granted. And her daughter was healed that very hour. Sometimes along our walk w Jesus, I do believe we get tested. Life throws us mountains but w Jesus, we can simply make them mole hills....we just have to have Faith and know He is on our side. I always say..He is for you, not against you..but its the truth. Jesus works on His time. There might be something you want so bad ... but w faith and with God, youll get it when the time is right or maybe you might not get it at all. But if thats the case..dont hate or question...just know theres something better:). Thats just how He works.
