Feb 1st, 2014 We have been home for a little over a week and settling back into a normal routine. It feels good to just do normal everyday things. Jon continues to be tired and needs extra sleep but has more days when he feels his old energy back. We got back to our pantry work this week and it was wonderful to see our pantry family again. It was a good day, Jon was energized by the work and the friendships. He was pretty tired the next day but it made him happy to get back to the old grind. He has also gotten back to some of his game gatherings and is strengthened knowing he hasnt lost his edge. We play games at home but it just isnt the same level of challenge that he needs, loves and gets playing with his BGGers. This week he has his post treatment MRI and labs. We see his medical oncologist following these studies and should find out if he will finally qualify for the clinical trials in which he is hoping to participate. He will also find out what path his treatment will follow depending on whether his scan is clear or new growth is found. We hope the approaching snowstorm wont prevent us from getting to these appointments. We ask for continued thoughts and prayer that his MRI is clear, that his labs are acceptable and that he is able to receive his custom vaccine.
