February 12th was the day we filmed the scene in the final episode of Mad Men (mid season finale for Season Seven) when Roger Sterling announces to the surprise and sorrow of the staff that Bertram Cooper has died. That was bad enough; I felt as though I were mourning the death of a dear friend. This was also only ten days following the unexpected passing of Philip Seymour Hoffman. Suddenly show biz and life were one.
