FedS response about why they rejected our motion: The Board of Directors does not support the addition of the agenda item to convert SLC 2139 into a Clubs and WPIRG library. The forthcoming results of the SLC Space Audit will be useful in determining what students would like to see space used for in the SLC. The Board feels that allowing such an item sets a precedent which could become detrimental to the organization. The Board will work towards the implementation of a Clubs Library if the results of the SLC space audit show a strong desire for a library and it is considered a priority for students on campus. The Board encourages all students to submit proposals for how to use space within the SLC during the next phase of the SLC space audit. An outline for what to include in a proposal and how to submit will be available on Feds.ca before the start of the Spring 2014 academic term.
