Feedback Requested... We are considering launching a .22 rifle shooting match. Ranges will be 25 yards to 150 yards. It will be a precision oriented match but with target size and distance achievable by stock .22s like the 10/22 or a Marlin bolt-.22. So what you hunt rabbits with will be just fine. Stages will have between 5 and 12 targets. You get a time limit to get as many as you can. You get a point for each you get, if a tie, then the fastest wins. The match would be on a Saturday afternoon, starting at 1pm. You should be able to get through the match with a box of 50 .22. Divisions would be Bolt and Semi. Scopes permitted and are probably preferable (although a good iron sight would work). Tripods and other supports are permitted as well, but may be taken away on a stage by stage basis (depending on the scenario represented). This is more of a hunting simulation type game than sniper, although, as in hunting the shots can be difficult with smaller targets, high angle, somewhat odd positions (including offhand). Targets will be circle or square gongs, and automatically resetting poppers of animal and non-humanoid shapes. If this interests you, comment or PM. Feedback welcome as well. We think this sounds fun, great for families and kids, and inexpensive. Your feedback welcome! Regards, Ken N.
