Feel good moment: Went to dinner this evening and was seated diagonally across from an elderly couple. The wife was conversing with her husband while cutting up his food and assisting him eat. She would then tend to her own meal and glance at him. He was obviously suffering from alzheimers and parkinsons. Watching this scene unfold of this ladies dedication and love for her ailing husband just stuck some chords with me. When the waitress returned I advised her to put the couples check on my tab. When she returned to the couple and told them that someone had picked up their check, the womans face glowed and a look of shock, surprise and elation took over. She kept looking around to who it might be, but Im sure the big tattooed Mohawk guy wasnt her first idea. She just kept smiling and told her husband what happened. He smiled and nodded his head oh goodness. That is nice. I paid, left tips for my server and the server of the couple and left. Made me feel good.
