Feeling awesome today. : ) This challange is reaching an end, and just in time for me to focus on new opportunities (and new scripts, of course). Ive had the pleasure of working closely with my locations wonderful GM, but because of serious growth in our company he has suddenly been called to take a newly created position at the corporate office. Ive had the privilege to work with him for nearly a month now, and it has been a unique experience that will be one I will draw future leadership decisions from. There is an empowering culture that exists in our workplace due to his dedication and Im sad to see him go but glad his new position allows him a greater impact on our location. Days before he got the news we discussed creating a marketing role (which he thinks Im perfect for) and ways to reach further into the community (exciting stuff). Though Im sad to see a great leader move on Im glad he is moving up. Though it may sound selfish, if this goes well at our location there may be reason to put it into place at the other six he will be overseeing. ; ) I see serious growth in the near future! !! Regardless, I really love my job! : D He gave me some required reading before my first day, and I highly reccomend you check it out. It is empowering, and not only meant for your career but for your everyday life. Do yourself a favor and read The Oz Principal.
