Feeling blessed with the little things. Last night I came across a family VHS Christmas video of my dads from 1993. It had several people in it that I miss dearly. My dad, Pa, Merry and Danny to mention a few. How things change in just a few years. Then today was just a good day. I was able to spend time with family doing nothing extra special, but somehow life started to feel normal again. I finished the night preparing to take down Christmas decoration and camping out in the basement with my daughter while watching one of her favorite VHS movies from Mamas on our old TV. The last several months have been rough. So many close family and friends have died. I was so happy when November was finally over. I thought December was going to be looking up, but December 1 proved that theory to be wrong. The kids came home from school with the flu. I knew then that December was not going to be an easy month either and it wasnt. Then January 1 had its ups and downs. My son came down with the flu again. On the plus side my daughter lost her 15th tooth on the first day of the year 15. Thos was a highlight for her. I realized that life is not going to be easy, but it helps to look at life with my glass half full.
