Feeling disappointed. I cant get over the reaction and negativity of people over the $10 registration/parking fee. Weve always paid it for registration anyway, now it gives us preferred parking downtown for 5 days! Yes, its a way of getting bikes to register (it would be great to have a better idea of how many bikes are coming to the rally) and it helps the event go on and be successful for many years to come. The $10 will go to building the rally each year and offering more for the public because Im sure down the road that will be the next complaint they need to do something different or bring someone else to draw people here. Nobody has mentioned ANYTHING about the FREE Matt Minglewood concert that the WWR is offering. Who do you think pays for these things?? Please people, take a moment to consider all aspects before coming on here and bashing not only an event, but volunteers and a committee who work hard each year to make every year successful and enjoyable for everyone who attends. And by all means, if you still arent happy about it, dont register, dont pay the fee and park somewhere else and walk downtown, but please show a little more respect for those volunteers working hard behind the scenes. I think for the most part, the majority of people coming will gladly pay the $10 registration/parking pass and will allow the Rally to add more events, shows and concerts each year.
