Feeling somewhat perturbed at the apparent demise of AS and its components...Took our young man to WINZ with his Medical Certificate from Doc so he can still recieve hs benefit and the nice lady we saw could not find Autism, Aspergers Syndrome or ASD anywhere on the list of approved medical diagnoses. I couldnt believe this so I too looked-yes indeedy AS is officially gone! You can have Infantile Autism and ADHD but not Autism. She eventually put him under Other learning difficulties-well really! It is possible to be excused from work for a varying range of possible AS symptoms such as Anxiety OCD and Panic Disorder....I myself as an NT am now suffering from Paranoia and Anxiety(both also acceptable) in wondering whether this is part of a MSD plot to stop supporting AS people who are unable to work fulltime and need some extra support? Comments please oh wise ones?
