Feeling very depressed today. Listened to Ivan Yates after 7 this morning and told us 55000 getting their leaving Cert results tomorrow. Started to think of all the Mothers and Grannys that said Novenas,how hard all those studied went to school in hail and rain. Thinking we never had a better youth in my experience then thought of the Mothers and Fathers would be selling cattle and going to the Credit Union to get loans to put them to third level which they see as their duty. Then at end of all that what is there for them. We have really destroyed their futures which they are entitled to. Then I thought of all the people with good Pensions and having good jobs as well. Taking the bit out of the mouth of the greatest youth this Country has ever seen. Sorry to be sounding depressing,but I think we all need to have a meeting with ourselves and give Hope to these great young people.
