Had my post operation meeting with my surgeon and Im cleared to resume normal activity, no heavy lifting for the next 4-6 weeks, but I can jump in the pool when I feel like it. The surgeon commented that I was out of danger, and had dodged a bullet as some 30% of perforated acute appendectomies had peritonitis [infection]. He commented that Id presented him with a pretty ugly situation. Thankful for a healthy body and good medical help.
