Feeling very new age today. My intro video to my shabby chic passions (aka Winchester Shabby :). I will try to share as I go along learning and growing my new love interest in reinventing and restoring furniture. Sometimes its bringing back a beautiful original look and sometimes, just like all of us, its all about the makeover. Whether stripping, sanding, staining or painting, primping, and polishing - I have come to really enjoy this as more than just a hobby. It speaks innately to all the things I love and am inspired by in old world, nostalgic and vintage influences and brings a beautiful artistic expression forth in a truly marvellous reveal. I want to create and celebrate the notions that I surround myself with, the glamour ideas that inspire me, and the wonderful comfort that I feel being surrounded by memories old and now made new again with love and care. Furniture, decor and even fabrics. Ideas to share between friends and fans of these DIY projects. Tips and tricks to tackle those big and little details that can arise when we take on the art of beautifying our homes and lives. This is one of the most rewarding and enriching passions I have discovered and more so, how much it means to me to be good at it and good to it. I am super excited to embark on this endeavour.
