Felixia Yeap Yesssss…I am a former Playboy model and former Playboy Bunny. So…any problem? No…I’m not embarrassed of my past, because without that journey in my life, I wouldn’t have realized how much more beautiful it is to cover my aurah, and how wonderful it is to have found tawbat in my heart. You guys can go ahead and slam me with my past and for keeping some of my old modeling photos. It is my dakwah point…that if someone like me could change for the better, so can the rest. If you think it is “humiliating” and “disgusting” for me to do this (to keep mentioning my past and keeping my old modeling photos), don’t worry. At least it’s just me doing it, not you, because who else can do this side of the dakwah but someone with a past like mine? How many women out there are willing to sacrifice and show their past to others in hope that it could switch on some sort of repentance in their hearts and to bring them closer to be their better selves, closer to Allah SWT? Yes, I’m still modeling now and I’d be continuing for as long as I can as a Muslimah model and actress. You might say it’s better for a woman (especially) to stay low profile and quit herself from the modeling/entertainment world if she is really sincere to change and be a better person, and hide her face and past from the rest of the world…but then, who is gonna continue the dakwah in this industry? You??? Look at the greater good. Don’t judge so shallowly.
