Fellow Chariton County residents: election day is next week, Tuesday, August 5. It has been quite a summer after we turned in the 430 signatures of fellow voters to place the full-time prosecuting attorney question on the ballot. Thank you to each and every one who has supported this important issue! Many people dont realize that this office is designated a part-time office. It is for the voters to decide if the prosecuting attorney should be a full-time position. Just in case anyone has missed the papers, I am attaching a couple of letters and a spreadsheet of financial data about this issue that have been printed. My vision for the office of prosecuting attorney is one of vocation, that is, it is not just a job, but the means by which one contributes to society and creates a better community.
