Fellow Cheyney Alumni and Supporters: If you missed the Heeding Cheyneys Call presentation at the national alumni meeting on 10/18 during Homecoming weekend, here it is. It includes all of the pertinent information concerning the upcoming major federal civil rights racial discrimination lawsuit that will be filed against the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania within the next few days. A press conference will take place at the same time. Details about the date, time, and location of the lawsuit will be announced shortly. The lawsuit will seek not only enough substantial funding to put Cheyney University where it should have been decades ago, but it also will seek all necessary resources, including (but not limited to) state-of-the-art facilities, enhancement of current academic programs, creation of new high-demand academic programs, and hiring of qualified faculty, professional staff, and experienced recruiters, as well as implementation of effective marketing. In short, this lawsuit will end the Commonwealths discrimination and begin the awe-inspiring resurgence of historic Cheyney University.
