Fellow DRers - while I wont be with you this year, I thought Id offer up a few tidbits of practical advice behind the ignore the bs and run your race. So two extra things to add to your gear list: (1) Toothbrush. Trust me. (2) At least one detachable water bottle (Nalgene, etc). There may be times when you will be away from your pack that has your hydration system, and youll want a source of hydration handy. I also trust that, in my absence, someone is going to have to take the role of lead cryer - tears just mean passion. Good luck, and enjoy the ride.
