Fellow Members, The Greater Huntsville Section will host an Associate Fellow Nomination Package Preparation Seminar on February 3 to help our members better understand and navigate the Associate Fellow nomination process. The target audience for this seminar is current AIAA Senior Members who are interested in pursuing an Associate Fellow nomination as well as current Associate Fellows, Fellows, and Honorary Fellows who want to write stronger letters of reference for nominees. WHO: Current AIAA Senior Members, Associate Fellow, Fellows/Honorary Fellows only WHAT: Associate Fellow Nomination Package Preparation Seminar • Associate Fellow eligibility criteria • Nomination deadlines • Elements of the nomination package • Submission process • Perspectives from the last Selection Board • What makes a strong package • What to say and what not to say • How to write a good Associate Fellow nomination reference letter • Other tips and FAQs WHEN: February 3, 2015, 11:30 – 1:00 pm (lunch at 11:30, seminar begins at 12:00) WHERE: Dynetics Solutions Complex, 1004 Explorer Blvd, Huntsville, AL HOW: Send your full name, AIAA grade, and US citizenship status to [email protected] no later than January 31. Non-US citizens must notify us of attendance before the deadline to comply with Dynetics’ security procedures. COST: FREE to AIAA Senior Members, Associate Fellows, Fellows/Honorary Fellows. The Greater Huntsville Section will provide pizzas and soft drinks but you may also bring your own lunch if desired. WHY: Educating our members on the mechanics of the process and the elements of a strong nomination package will increase our Senior Members’ chances of selection for the grade of Association Fellow.
