Fellow Prayer Warriors: MOUNT UP!!! My dad, Bobby, is in the hospital at St Marys right now in pretty serious condition. He finally went to the emergency room yesterday afternoon after being bad sick to the point where he was just comepletely out of it for at least 48 hours. Turns out he had a good reason. his appendix had ruptured, wreaking all kinds of havoc inside his gut. His colon and the whole internal cavity on that side is badly inflamed and infected, as well (as some of the other nearby organs I think), and to use the surgeons words theres a big, bad mess in there. They put him on some strong antibiotics with the hopes that everything and everything will calm down a whole lot before they have to go in and cut everything out. if they have to go on in and start cutting the way things are now, then he is going to have to take out a huge chunk of his colon, more than hell need to have left, in addition to the ruptured appendix and whatever other chaos it has caused along the way, so we are praying specifically that the Lord will grant him with a miraculous touch of his healing grace inin this part of his body, with the eventual hope that a more routine and far less drastic, emergency surgery can happen in a few days and that any further damage in the meantime will be minimal. he was able to have some fluids this morning for breakfast, and apparently he was very grateful for that. And ANYONE who knows how my dad (and the rest of us Newburys, for that matter lol) likes to eat oughtta know just from that right there just how far from normal he is. I mean, normally he is very grateful when he gets to have a whole box of Fruit Loops with marshmallows to himself for breakfast! Ha ha. Preesh in advance, Errbody!
