Fellow Rebels members, friends and our dance community. In keeping with my promise to keep you informed about all events regarding the proposed purchase of MMISL, the Rebels board has decided to decline further discussion about selling our event at the very least until several issues are addressed. #1) The legality of selling and ramifications of selling this event , because we are a not for profit organization. #2) All of our options are explored a: lease / license b: Retain / sell/ open bids to the public #3 Obtaining the best appraisal of the worth of MMISL We as a board concluded that this could not be accomplished in a time frame that would allow either party sufficient time to run and promote MMISL in a successful , professional manner that would keep the event on the upward track that it has finally achieved these past two years. With this decision firmly in mind, we immediately contacted Katie Slater Hicks and Crystal Auclair and asked them back on board with us as MMISL directors. When they politely and respectfully declined we then moved forward contacting several successful national event directors, asking whether or not they interest in running MMISL for the STL Rebels. Happily this process went both smoothly and very quickly!!!!! To that end I wish to announce to everyone that the Rebels Board has unanimously voted to accept and contract with our new 2014 MMISL event director SOPHY KDEP !!!!! We are absolutely thrilled to have her on board with us and are looking forward to another fabulous event that will shine a brilliant, positive light on WCS, Saint Louis and the STL Rebels !!!
