Fellow Shooters, A month ago local news and Forest Service covered a story about target shooters leaving horrible messes on public lands here in Utah. A problem that surely exist in your area and only gives the media more reason to attack gun rights. In response to this story Long Range Shooters of Utah members began clean efforts around the state and posted before and after pictures. Today Im please to report that LRSU was featured on the Facebook page by that same Forest Service Office that reported the problem to the media and they sang praises for all our tremendous effort to right the wrong of other shooters that lack the common decency and respect to clean up after themselves. Weve gone so far as to reward those that post pictures of their clean ups with LRSU decals by mail as a thank you and its been a great success. We challenge you to follow suit and share your success with us as we re-educate our community on what it is to be a responsible citizen and ensure our kids will enjoy this sport on our public lands. Local Scout troops, church youth groups and sports teams are always looking for service projects. Please get them involved.
