Fellow dog lovers- Lets use this valuable time we have assistance from the police wisely and actually try to put a more permanent solution in place. Motor vehicle theft is the most highly reported crime in Plymouth, but Im sure they cant babysit for long. For now at least it does give us a reprieve and opportunity to get cameras set up and educate people on the danger involved in leaving things in their cars (without learning the hard way). Cops can arrive on the scene in minutes, but itll take a while to be proactive and get money and approval or whatever well need to get cameras up. Lets try to get cameras up before the police presence fades. I do plan on attending the next city council meeting and Id love for fellow dog park goers to join me. If anyone would like to join me or would like to pass on any information or have questions to bring up, please message me. Please also message me if you have any ideas for getting cameras and getting them set up or any other solutions we could try. On a crazy idea side note, I think a civilian sting would be kinda fun actually and Id be willing to donate an hour or two to babysitting the cars if others would be willing to do the same. Lol or we could all set up mouse traps in our cars. The vandals would at least get a slap on the hand then. ;p
