Fellow piano teachers.. I am in a curriculum conundrum and need your help. I have a student who is beginning piano study with me in January who has limited use of his right hand and full use of his left hand. His goal is to keep his left hand strong through the winter, as he is an older gentleman and cold-weather joint pain is an issue that he would like to try to keep at bay, and hes hoping that piano will help that. Do you have suggestions for curriculum or pieces that will help him with his primary goal (strengthening the hand) and that will keep him challenged as a budding musician? Any help that you can give would be much appreciated. Thank you!!! :)
