Fellowship Prayer Points As peace talks resume between Israeli and Palestinian leaders, let us keep this delicate situation in our prayers – and give thanks to our God of shalom, who offers us deep, abiding peace no matter what situation we might find ourselves in. May we all know – and spread – that peace today. As international leaders gather to discuss peace between the Israelis and Palestinians, pray for God’s mighty hand of wisdom and shalom (peace) on all involved. “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May those who love you be secure. May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels’” (Psalm 122:6-7). At a recent security conference, Israeli Minister of Home Front Defense Gilad Erdan mentioned that one third of Israel’s population doesn’t have access to functioning bomb shelters. In light of this new statistic, pray for the protection of Israel’s vulnerable populations. “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10). Pray that the 104 Palestinian prisoners to be released as part of the renewed peace talks will leave their lives of violence and terrorism behind. “Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it” (Psalm 34:14). As Yael Eckstein is traveling around the U.S. and Canada to meet with Fellowship friends, pray for her protection and for God’s presence with her family while she is away. “Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble” (Proverbs 3:23). Praise God for our faithful donors, who allow us to make a lifesaving difference in the lives of Jews in need throughout Israel and the former Soviet Union. “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done” (Proverbs 19:17).
