Felony DWI Arrest On September 13th, 2014 at 12:20 AM, Tompkins County Sheriffs Deputies were on patrol in the Town of Ulysses when they observed an older model Dodge Ram pick-up truck traveling south on Halseyville Road. The pick-up truck was subsequently stopped on Swamp College Road for equipment violations and the driver, Paul D. Vorhis, age 39 of State Route 227 in Trumansburg was interviewed. Sheriffs Deputies then conducted a DWI Investigation and arrested Vorhis for Driving While Intoxicated. Vorhis was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (Class E Felony), Inadequate Brake Lights (Violation) and Inadequated/No Turn Signal (Violation). Vorhis was arraigned at the Town of Ulysses Court where he was released to a third party. Vorhis was set up to reappear at the Town of Ulysses Court at a later date.
