Felt compelled to reflect on 2013 and how that year was a tough one professionally. I spent an entire wedding season exhausted and frustrated as I tried to do everything myself, I learned some really hard and disheartening lessons in trusting my gut and trusting others, and worst of all thought maybe Id be better off without HGE. Im so thankful I never gave up. Im beyond blessed to have the clients I do this year and next. Im even luckier to have found the sweet assistants and contracted workers I have because theyre not only trustworthy but talented beyond measure (one even gifted me with an industrial steamer today as an early birthday gift; blown away by your kindness, Jess!) But Im most excited about the fact that Im imperfect, my business has weaknesses and Im always ready to grow and tackle whatever hurdle comes my way next. I say this not to brag about how awesome the here and now is but to let you know that you too will rise from whatever valley youre in and whatever youre facing now is temporary. Tomorrow will come and with it will be another opportunity for joy. Off to enjoy ice cream with my husband before some last minute wedding prep for Saturdays soirée!
