CURE is the largest non-government organization committed to provide free treatment to children born with clubfoot in India. In the last 4 years we have over 9500 children enrolled in our program. In India over 50,000 children are born with clubfoot every year. Working for CURE you will have the opportunity to transform the lives of children born with clubfoot and their families in India. Job Responsibilities: 1. Provide emotional support to parents attending clinic. 2. Ensure parents are fully informed about the treatment and progress of their child and that they have a good understanding of the clubfoot treatment process. 3. Complete accurate and timely counseling reporting forms to keep the Coordinator informed of work in the clinic location. 4. Regular follow-up of the clubfoot children. 5. Conduct home visits, if/when necessary. 6. Act as an advocate by raising local community awareness of the deformity and its treatment. 7. Organize a clinic parent support group. 8. Liaise with the Counseling Coordinator regularly to debrief and seek advice. 9. Participate in CCW organized training forums. 10. Work in cooperation with other members of the clubfoot clinic team. Qualifications and skills: 1. Graduate in any discipline. 2. Active listener. 3. Establishing a relationship of trust and respect with parents. 4. Helping parents towards a deeper understanding of their concerns. 5. Make the parent understand and convince that the clubfoot can be treated. 6. Basic knowledge of computer.
