Fences dont work. You cant build a fence that will. Anyone with the most basic military defensive training knows it. The only thing that makes a fence, minefield, or any other deterrent effective is what North Korea and East Germany learned. You have to have armed eyes on it with orders to shoot anyone entering a clearly designated no mans land where anything entering it is a target that is immediately fired upon. Funny thing is you dont have to actually shoot very many before they get the idea and stop coming. In the last 40 years that East Germany had its no mans land you can count the number of people that successfully crossed on both hands.
