Fenner Nature Center is hosting a Dragonfly Walk Details: When: Saturday, August 9th at 10am Location: Fenner Nature Center, Lansing Leader: Doug McWhirter Learn about the fascinating world of dragonflies and damselflies while observing them and possibly get the chance to examine them in hand. Participants will learn how to distinguish these two groups of the order Odonata, discuss their role in our local ecosystem, and get information for further learning and exploration. We will meet at the observation deck over the pond, behind the main building. The walk will go for an hour to an hour and a half with the option of continuing across the street along the Red Cedar River to look for different bugs. Bring binoculars if you have them. No cost.
