Ferguson Presser As youve no doubt heard by now, Ferguson PD - TopicsExpress

Ferguson Presser As youve no doubt heard by now, Ferguson PD Officer Darren Wilson will not be indicted in the shooting death of Michael Brown. In other words, it was a justifiable use of deadly force in defense of himself. HuffPos complete mischaracterization notwithstanding, Prosecutor McCullochs presser (below) was quite detailed and very professional. It was a thorough summarizing of the key events. The grand jury carefully reviewed everything. They heard from all of witnesses, many of whom they determined were not credible, looked at all of the physical evidence and determined as nearly as mere mortals can, that probable cause did not exist to charge Officer Wilson with a crime. Thats an honest rendering and was the correct outcome based on everything I have access to, which admittedly isnt everything that the grand jury saw, but enough, I think, to come to an accurate conclusion. The evidence is there and it is irrefutable, as noted by Prosecutor McCulloch: Physical evidence does not change because of public pressure or personal agenda. Physical evidence does not look away as events unfold. Nor does it block out or add to memory. Physical evidence remains constant and as such is a solid foundation upon which cases are built. ~Prosecutor McCulloch In spite of everything that is happening around the country tonight, justice was served today in Ferguson, MO. Lady Justice took no pleasure in rendering her verdict today, but it was just and it was within the confines of law. We can all be grateful that the equal justice rule of law prevailed today. Even though radical agitators and violent revolutionaries across the country feel that property damage and violence is justified tonight, they all need to be held to account for their crimes and their counter-productive actions. Maybe a day will come when they will realize that they are only making a bad set of circumstances, worse, and are themselves setting back gains decades ago by notable civil rights icons like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. One final thought, from Dr. Kings own rules for his civil rights marches of the past: 2: Remember always that the nonviolent movement seeks justice and reconciliation, not victory. That one rule says it all. huffingtonpost/2014/11/24/bob-mcculloch-ferguson_n_6215986.html
