Ferguson Protests in Times Square. The first clip is the group marching by and the second is when we (Katelyn, Savannah, and I) bottlenecked with the protestors. It was a slightly intense moment. They were just chanting various things - including something about how many kids have the NYPD killed today. NYPD officers were escorting the group to monitor the group, but also to protect the group from passersby. Apparently this same group ended up marching through Macys Herald Square. They were also boycotting Black Friday in protest of what happened in Ferguson. It was an enlightening experience. Savannah got to experience her first protest and she slept thru the entire experience. Amazing!
