Ferrin and I had our first experimental papa/daughter excursion to practice for when Reise Green goes back to work. Lessons learned: 1. The baby seems to practice some crude form of sun worship, which she extends to all lights above her 2. By extension, her Fisher Price baby swing seems to have taught her that this all-seeing solar deity makes/is properly worshipped by making owl noises. 3. I need to turn one of my army surplus shoulder bags into a diaper bag. 4. It will never be easy to simultaneously carry an infant and a hot beverage. The more heroic efforts undertaken to keep the scalding liquid from the little one, the more ridiculously tenuous a grasp one has on the cup containing said liquid.
