Festival of archaeology: Dig deep and uncover the stories of Wales’s past this summer at the Festival of Archaeology, which is currently taking place until July 28, with heritage arts and crafts taking place at Denbigh Castle on July 24 from 10.30am to 4pm. Cadw, the Welsh Government’s historic environment service, together with its partner organisations, is running a fortnight long series of special events across Wales as part of the festival, ranging from military displays, excavation open days, heritage arts and crafts, Victorian expeditions and medieval mystery days.
