Festivals are there to create business for artists. While promoting the arts festivals are also business pltaforms. If youre a vegetable vendor you really do not need to book a stand at the Trade Fair to do business. Most importantly festivals are not there to solve all problems in the industry. Most actually need help. I will repeat a statement I made sometime this year. Can artists disabuse themselves of these funny and unsubstanciated sense of self entitlements.
